RUS GUTIN is currently based in Los Angeles, CA. He is a graduate of the Musical Theatre Program at AMDA in New York.

RUS has been a professional stand-up comedian for 10 years, and he has been a regular headliner @ CAROLINE'S, STAND-UP NY, NEW YORK COMEDY CLUB, & THE COMEDY STORE. He has put out several DVD's of his stand-up, including 2008's "BORN AGAIN COMEDIAN", and his new 2009 special, "RUS GUTIN : LIVE IN PHILLY!"

As a writer, director and producer RUS created the hit Off-Broadway musical, GANGSTAPELLA. GANGSTAPELLA is the story of the world's first gangsta-rap a capella group of all white people and one asian, midget, samuri beat-box. Besides being a hit musical and successful "Spinal-Tap"-esque band, GANGSTAPELLA is currently being developed as an adult animated series for television.

As a SAG and AFTRA actor, Rus has appeared in several films and commercials. Rus just completed shooting the role of "Duke" in the redneck caper comedy, "HOLD ON LOOSELY". He starred along with Harland Williams in the movie "SURF SCHOOL" as the flamboyantly gay, Costa Rican surf announcer, "Roberto". He also appeared in both Russ Parr directed comedies, "THE LAST STAND" and "SOMETHING LIKE A BUSINESS".

RUS once appeared in a sketch on "CHELSEA LATELY". In New York, Rus starred as the Devil himself, "Scratch", in the hit Off-Broadway dramedy, "SCRATCH'S LAST LAMENT". And Rus was the head writer and featured cast member of the improv/musical/sketch group "THE TROUPE", which ran as a weekly show Off-Broadwy in NYC for 2 years.
